Tech support

On-site & remote tech support

Computers, laptops, printers, networks, phones, and tablets — across all the major operating systems, with specialist expertise in Windows. Explained in plain English, priced before any work starts.

How I help

Remote when it’s quick. On-site when it matters.

Most problems can be fixed over a secure remote session, often the same day. When hands-on help is needed, I come to you — at home or at your business.

Remote support

You describe the problem, I connect securely to your machine, and you watch everything I do on screen. Ideal for software issues, tune-ups, email problems, and quick fixes.

  • Often same-day help
  • Secure session — you see everything
  • No call-out travel, so it costs less
  • Nothing installed without your say-so

On-site visits

For hardware problems, network setups, new machines, or anything that needs hands on the kit, I come to your home or business and sort it there and then.

  • Hardware repairs & upgrades
  • Wi-Fi, routers & network setup
  • New device & office setups
  • Visit arranged around your schedule

Specialism

Windows, done properly

Windows is where I’ve spent years of my working life — building, fixing, tuning, and supporting it professionally. If it runs Windows, I can almost certainly sort it: stubborn updates, blue screens, performance problems, clean reinstalls, migrations to new machines, and everything in between.

I also support macOS, Linux, Android, and iPhone/iPad — so whatever mix of devices you have at home or in the office, one call covers the lot.

Common jobs

What I fix, day in, day out

If your problem isn’t on this list, it doesn’t mean I can’t fix it — these are just the ones I see most often.

Slow or misbehaving computers

Startup crawling, constant freezing, endless spinning wheels — diagnosed and sorted, not just patched over.

Virus & malware removal

Suspicious pop-ups, browser hijacks, or something that just feels off — cleaned up and secured against repeats.

New device setup

New PC, laptop, phone, or printer set up properly from day one — accounts, email, files, and printers all connected.

Upgrades & repairs

SSD and memory upgrades that make an old machine feel new, plus Windows reinstalls and version upgrades.

Wi-Fi & network problems

Dead spots, dropouts, and devices that won’t connect — routers, extenders, and networks configured to just work.

Email & account issues

Locked-out accounts, email not syncing, moving to a new provider — untangled and set up cleanly.

Backups & data recovery

Automatic backups set up so you never lose your files — and recovery help when something’s already gone wrong.

Printers & peripherals

Printers, scanners, webcams, and anything else that refuses to cooperate — installed, connected, and working.

Software help & training

Installing and configuring the software you need, plus patient, plain-English help using it.

How it works

Simple, honest, no surprises

01

Tell me what’s wrong

Email or use the contact form. Describe the problem in your own words — no need for technical language.

02

Get a plan & a price

I’ll tell you whether it’s a remote fix or needs a visit, what it’ll involve, and what it’ll cost — agreed before any work starts.

03

Problem sorted

I fix it, show you what was done, and make sure you’re happy before we call it finished.

No fix-it jargon, no open-ended bills. If something turns out to be beyond economic repair, I’ll tell you straight and help you choose a sensible replacement instead.

Stop fighting with your tech

Tell me what’s playing up and I’ll tell you how quickly it can be fixed — remotely or in person.
